Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Scissor Lift Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating scissor lifts to facilitate the efficient movement of materials and personnel across various construction sites. Your expertise will contribute to the timely completion of projects while maintaining a secure and organized work environment. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate scissor lifts and other heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, dozers, and water trucks to support construction activities
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety standards are met and report any issues promptly
  • Assist with material handling, positioning, and placement using appropriate machinery to streamline workflow
  • Follow all safety protocols and site regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance needs
  • Support other construction operations including the use of concrete mixers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, front loader trucks, tanker trucks, and farm machinery as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating scissor lifts in a construction or industrial setting
  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation including loaders, dozers, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and water trucks
  • Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and regulations
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance checks on equipment
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for operating related vehicles such as dump trucks or tanker trucks
  • Experience working with Caterpillar machinery or similar brands is advantageous
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and stand for extended periods
