Job description

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Software Engineering the Software Engineer Intern builds tools to enhance the work of Breaking Ground. The Intern works closely with departments across the organization to support our program and housing needs.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Contribute to project development for mapping tools
• Collaborate with the software engineering team to design and build useful and maintainable tools
• Create scalable, documented, and tested code that is accurate and secure
• Perform other duties as assigned


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience building and maintaining web applications
• Proficiency in C#, JavaScript, Python, SQL, SQL Server, ASP.NET MVC Web Framework, Git Version Control, Microsoft Azure Suite
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams
• Ability to understand and problem solve across a variety of challenges
• Good communication skills; ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
