Duration: 12-Month Contract with Potential Extension or Conversion
About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Lead DevOps Platform Engineer to help build and evolve enterprise-scale DevSecOps capabilities across a large technology portfolio. In this role, you will design, automate, and optimize cloud-native delivery platforms that enable secure, reliable, and efficient software deployment across Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.
You will work closely with engineering teams to improve CI/CD workflows, automate deployment processes, implement GitOps practices, and drive platform modernization initiatives. This is a hands-on engineering position focused on developer enablement, automation, infrastructure as code, and operational excellence within a highly regulated enterprise environment.
What You'll Do
  • Design, build, and operate scalable cloud-native platforms supporting enterprise application delivery.
  • Develop and enhance GitOps-based CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions and declarative pipeline configurations.
  • Automate application deployment processes across Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.
  • Implement and support deployment orchestration solutions using Harness and related deployment platforms.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
  • Optimize existing CI/CD pipelines through workflow tuning, automation enhancements, and quality gate implementation.
  • Support Java and Python application build processes using Maven, Gradle, and modern CI/CD tooling.
  • Partner with development teams to improve developer experience through self-service platform capabilities.
  • Implement DevSecOps best practices, governance controls, and audit-compliant deployment processes.
  • Improve platform observability, monitoring, release visibility, and operational troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Participate in platform modernization initiatives, including future cloud transformation efforts across Azure and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
  • Provide platform-level and application-level troubleshooting and remediation support.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Strong experience supporting Java build ecosystems using Maven and/or Gradle.
  • Experience automating Python application builds and deployment workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with deployment orchestration platforms such as Harness.
  • Strong experience administering and deploying applications on Kubernetes and OpenShift (OCP).
  • Experience implementing GitOps methodologies and Infrastructure as Code practices.
  • Experience working within large-scale, regulated enterprise environments.
  • Understanding of governance, compliance, audit requirements, and security controls within DevOps ecosystems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, automation, and systems engineering skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation frameworks such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience with AI-powered or agentic automation frameworks.
  • Public cloud experience in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and/or Microsoft Azure.
