Job Summary

Our Sales Development Representative Intern supports the earliest stages of the sales process by researching target accounts, identifying the right contacts, and helping initiate thoughtful conversations. This role is ideal for a student who wants practical experience in business-to-business sales, market development, and customer engagement.

Target Hourly Compensation: $22 - $25/hour

SDR Intern Responsibilities

· Research priority industries, companies, facilities, and decision-makers using approved data sources and account criteria.

· Build and maintain targeted prospect lists for healthcare, commercial real estate, automotive, manufacturing, distribution, and other commercial markets.

· Support coordinated outreach through email, phone, professional networking platforms, events, and follow-up campaigns.

· Prepare account briefs, help qualify early interest, and document customer needs, timing, stakeholders, and agreed next steps.

· Enter accurate activity, contact, and opportunity notes in the CRM and support clean handoffs to sales leaders.

· Track outreach results and share weekly observations about messaging, market response, and emerging opportunities.

SDR Intern Qualifications

· Currently pursuing a degree in sales, marketing, business, communications, finance, sustainability, or a related field.

· Clear written and verbal communication, strong listening skills, and confidence engaging new people.

· Curiosity, resilience, organization, and a willingness to learn through coaching and practice.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; CRM, prospecting-tool, energy, or complex solution sales experience is a plus, not required.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

The position is performed primarily in an office setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, phone, and keyboard. May regularly need to lift and carry 20 lbs., unassisted. Position may require up to 10% travel.
