• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate patients’ mental health needs and develop tailored care plans.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to diagnose and treat various mental health disorders, regularly updating treatment plans based on patient progress and status changes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create effective discharge plans, ensuring continuity of care through appropriate referrals and resource identification.
• Facilitate communication among patients, families, and healthcare providers to promote understanding and support for treatment goals.
• Act as a patient advocate, addressing any barriers to care and ensuring that clients have access to necessary community services.
• Conduct supportive interventions, such as crisis counseling and bereavement support, to assist patients and their families during challenging times.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including adhering to the Mental Health Practice Act guidelines.
• Utilize technology to manage client cases effectively, ensuring that documentation is timely and accurate.
• Address potential risks for treatment delays or readmissions by proactively coordinating care services with other providers.

As a Mental Health Therapist at Vatica Counseling Center, you will engage with a diverse patient population experiencing a wide range of mental health issues, from anxiety and depression to more severe behavioral disorders. Your role will be crucial in providing culturally competent care and addressing the unique needs of each individual, fostering an environment of healing and support.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work or a closely related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as either LCSW, LMFT, LCPC, or Psychologist in the State of Illinois.
• Familiarity with local community mental health resources to facilitate patient referrals and support.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with care teams.
• Proven ability to build and maintain rapport with clients to foster a supportive therapeutic relationship.

• A minimum of two years of direct clinical experience in a mental health setting is preferred, particularly with crisis intervention.
• Experience working within a community health framework, especially with underrepresented populations.
• Knowledge of telehealth practices and familiarity with remote counseling platforms is a plus.

We offer an attractive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
