Job description

PURPOSES SPECIFIC TO THE POSITION
Provides a wide range of support to the Customer Service Department. Internships are designed for candidates whose availability and career goals closely align with the scope and schedule of the role. Internships are for a limited period.
RELATIONSHIPS
  • Reports to Manager, Customer Support.
  • Directs - none.
  • Cooperates or coordinates with all persons both within and outside the cooperative as deemed necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the position.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Receives, issues appropriate receipt for, and deposits monies received by the cooperative and prepares and reconciles reports of such receipts and deposits.
  • Effectively communicates with the public via telephone, in person, and electronic means.
  • Accepts applications for membership and electric service, initiates action on consumer connect, reconnect, and disconnect orders, and explains requirements, rules, regulations and applicable policies to persons so involved.
  • Performs scanning, filing, and navigates the Cooperative's systems to process service orders and other tasks.
  • Assists with preparing and updating various reports, agendas, notes, etc.
  • Safely operates Cooperative vehicles to run errands and perform other tasks.
  • Requires ability and willingness to work in an administrative environment, typically sitting at a desk and operating typical office equipment. Requires ability and willingness to lift/manipulate light loads frequently and assist with medium loads occasionally.
  • Exercises highest degree of confidentiality regarding all Cooperative, member, and employee information.
  • Performs other duties as requested or required by the position.
