Position Title: Staff Accounting Intern
Position Location: Remote - work virtually from anywhere in the United States
Internship Duration: This is a summer internship running from the third week of May through the second week of August
Job Summary
QC Servion is seeking a Staff Accounting Intern to support accounting operations across the QC Ecosystem. This internship provides broad exposure to payroll support, general ledger activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and month-end accounting processes.
The intern will work with experienced accounting professionals while developing foundational accounting knowledge and practical business experience in a dynamic professional services environment.
Essential Functions
General Accounting Support (80%)
  • Assist with account reconciliations and financial record maintenance.
  • Support preparation of journal entries and accounting schedules.
  • Assist with month-end close activities.
  • Support payroll-related accounting functions.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
  • Help prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
  • Review financial data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.

Financial Reporting & Analysis (20%)
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Support variance analysis and reporting.
  • Participate in audit preparation and documentation gathering.
  • Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing; Junior and Senior students preferred.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles through coursework.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
