Job Details

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Job Requirements:

  • Assisting in new product introductions, performing UL testing as requested
  • Coordinate product lifecycle testing on Byrne and competitive products
  • Write comprehensive lab reports to communicate / document UL lab test results
  • Must be able to interface with suppliers, manufacturing staff, office personnel and to a lesser extent, customers in a dynamic environment.
  • Take direction from engineering / management to perform R&D validation testing as requested
  • Provide support to purchasing/engineering by qualifying new products, processes and materials including ISIR and PPAP requirements.
  • Assist with the calibration of both manufacturing and test equipment and devices.
  • Support CSM (lean manufacturing) initiatives by participating in events and assisting wherever possible and following up to ensure that gains are maintained.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Minimal quality and/or manufacturing experience at any level
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Cursory understanding of ISO 9000 and ISO 14000
  • Experience with or demonstrated ability to operate testing / lab equipment
