This internship provides hands-on exposure to IT asset management, hardware deployment, software support, and business operations. You'll gain practical experience with industry tools while developing technical, communication, and problem-solving skills that will help launch your career in technology.

What You'll Do

As a member of the Client Services team, you'll support the daily operations of our Client Liaison and Asset Management functions. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with hardware recovery and ensuring returned equipment is properly documented
  • Supporting IT asset inventory and data cleanup activities within ServiceNow
  • Verifying and maintaining asset records assigned to employees
  • Entering and updating hardware and software information in ServiceNow
  • Assisting with software installation requests
  • Helping prepare, image, configure, and deploy computers and accessories
  • Creating and updating process documentation and user guides
  • Receiving and organizing incoming technology equipment
  • Supporting various IT budgeting, purchasing, and finance-related activities
  • Assisting with other technology projects and operational tasks as assigned

Position-Related Responsibilities

  • Assist with reclaimed hardware requests to ensure hardware is returned properly.
  • Asset cleanup within ServiceNow.
  • Assist with inventory, confirming assets assigned to clients.
  • Add software models to ServiceNow.
  • Add hardware models to ServiceNow.
  • Assist with software installation requests.
  • Assist with imaging and/or deploying computers and accessories.
  • Assist with creating documentation.
  • Assist with receiving equipment.
  • Assist with various IT budget/finance tasks as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills are required plus a willingness to learn in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Be pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics or related discipline with an expected graduation date of 2028 or later
  • Be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during regular business hours; up to 40 hours a week may be available during the summer and school breaks
  • Have a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to protect highly sensitive and confidential information; Must be able to meet regular deadlines
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Requirements

  • Student Interns must be enrolled in a specified degree program and maintain the required hours for full-time student status, good academic standing at their college or university, as defined by the college or university and the GPA required for graduation by their college or university. Failure to maintain full-time status, good academic standing and/or the requisite GPA will result in student being deemed ineligible for participation in the program.
  • Student Interns are employed on a temporary basis and are generally not eligible for some benefits; including holiday pay.

Scheduling of work hours and assignments should be made taking into consideration that Student Interns are students first and employees second.
