Classification: Non-Exempt

Location: Tysons Corner, VA - Hybrid (Tues-Thurs in office) 

Work Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week

Status: Part Time 

Job Description:  

IntelliDyne, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Finance & Accounting team for Summer 2026. This internship is an excellent opportunity for a student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field to gain hands-on experience in a professional accounting environment. The Accounting Intern will work closely with the Controller to support day-to-day accounting operations while developing a foundational understanding of accounting processes, internal controls, and government contracting finance practices. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Review and maintain the AP inbox to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, purchase orders and employee expense reports, including obtaining appropriate approvals. 
  • Support accounts receivable activities, including entering cash receipts and updating customer payment records. 
  • Assist with credit card reconciliations by reviewing transactions and gathering supporting documentation. 
  • Review employee timesheets for completeness and accuracy and assist with timesheet follow-up as needed. 
  • Support the accounting team with administrative and ad hoc projects as assigned. 
  • Participate in training opportunities to develop accounting knowledge and professional skills. 

Qualifications: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • 0-1 years of accounting, finance, or related work experience. 
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 
  • Eagerness to learn and develop professional accounting skills. 
  • Prior internship, coursework, or experience with accounting software is a plus but not required.
