The Deutsche Bank Internship Program is designed to help you develop your skills through formal training and continuous support. You'll quickly gain the confidence to take on real projects by learning first-hand how and what we deliver for clients worldwide. You'll feel supported by colleagues from across our business and start to develop your professional network.
About the business division:
As Private Bank we combine Deutsche Bank's activities in Wealth Management, Private Banking and Personal Banking into one division. We serve >20m clients globally with >500 bn Eur assets under management and close to 9bn Eur revenues in 2022. Within Wealth Management we support wealthy individuals, entrepreneurs, family offices and foundations in Germany, Europe, Americas, Asia and Middle East and Africa with bespoke investments and lending solutions. We collaborate closely with the Corporate & Investment Bank and DWS to address both the personal and corporate needs of our clients and create sustainable partnerships and lasting value over time.
Division specifics about the intern role:
Throughout the summer you will gain a wide range of practical experience. You will also benefit from training courses, seminars and a variety of networking events. Successful interns will be invited to join our enhanced one-year IPB Program structure provides for enhanced client focus, greater clarity on career pathing and structured learning. The specific tasks that you deal with will depend on your role within the team. You will be trained by the best, evolve professionally as well as personally, and build a firm foundation for your career progression.
What we look for:
We recruit students and graduates who are intelligent and adaptable with excellent communication skills. They have degrees in many different disciplines.
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
Even though good levels of numeracy are important for some roles, you won't necessarily need a formal mathematical or financial background. Our comprehensive training programs will give you all the technical knowledge you'll need to build a career with us.
We are looking for bright minds with a strong academic record who are passionate about helping clients meet their financial goals and navigate in dynamic investment landscape.
Have you already gained practical experience in banking or finance?
Do you have strong communication skills to engage with clients and a collaborative style to work with colleagues across the globe?
Would you describe yourself as innovative and engaging - with a high level of emotional intelligence?
Do you have good language skills and speak either English, German, French or an additional foreign language?
To be eligible for the 2027 Internship Program you must:
  • Complete your studies (all final exams, coursework, and have no outstanding requirements for graduation) between 1st December 2027 and 31st July 2028.
  • Be able to work full-time during the 10-week summer internship (June - August 2027), subject to local working legislation.
  • Possess no more than 12 months full-time, relevant work experience
