As a Gogo Intern: Cybersecurity Technician, you will join our cutting-edge cybersecurity team to enhance security operations through data analysis and automation. You will be responsible for analyzing security data, developing advanced queries, and building automated workflows to respond to threats.

This role offers a unique opportunity to useKusto Query Language (KQL)andMicrosoft Power Automateto tackle real-world security challenges, including the management of security policies, APIs, and certificates.

How will you make a difference?

  • Analyze large datasets from various security tools to identify trends, anomalies, and potential security incidents

  • Develop and maintain complex KQL queries for threat hunting, custom detections, and reporting within our security platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender)

  • Design and build automated workflows using Power Automate to orchestrate responses to security alerts and manage operational tasks

  • Work with RESTful APIs to connect different security platforms and assist in managing the API lifecycle, including documentation and security

  • Help manage the lifecycle of digital certificates (SSL/TLS) to ensure secure communication for our automated services and integrations

  • Assist in the automation of managing, deploying, and monitoringData Loss Prevention (DLP)andendpoint security policies

  • Create clear documentation for your KQL queries, detection logic, and automated workflows

Qualifications

  • Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree inCybersecurity,Computer Science,Information Systems, or a related field

  • You must be enrolled in an accredited school

Preferred Skills, Academic Experience and Talents

  • Building data analysis and query skills, with experience inKusto Query Language (KQL)

  • Exposure withMicrosoft Power Automateor other automation platforms (e.g., Azure Logic Apps)

  • Familiarity with security operations concepts and the incident response lifecycle

  • Experience with security platforms likeMicrosoft Sentinel,Microsoft Purview, orMicrosoft Defender for Endpointis a plus

  • Understanding ofRESTful APIsand experience with data formats likeJSON

  • Familiarity withData Loss Prevention (DLP)andendpoint securityconcepts

  • Knowledge ofPublic Key Infrastructure (PKI)andSSL/TLS certificates

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a security-first mindset
