Job Description:
  • Join our team to gain hands-on experience building skills in threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and information security best practices. Train in cyber defense, penetration testing, and reverse engineering to protect critical systems from evolving threats. A strong path for service members interested in high-impact cyber roles.

The SkillBridge Cybersecurity Intern shall possess the following capabilities:
Training Areas:
  • Cyber threat analysis and mitigation strategies.
  • Information security policies, frameworks, and compliance standards.
  • Penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
  • Reverse engineering techniques for malware analysis.
  • Tools: Wireshark, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Kali Linux, Splunk.

What You'll Learn:
  • Identifying and responding to cyber threats.
  • Implementing security controls to protect critical systems.
  • Testing systems for vulnerabilities and strengthening defenses.
  • Translating military cyber skills to private sector environments.

Qualifications:
  • Has served at least 180 days on active duty.
  • Is within 180 days of separation or retirement.
  • Will receive honorable discharge.
  • Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS.
  • Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months.
  • Received Unit Commander authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of internship.
  • NOTE: SkillBridge interns will not be eligible for any compensation during their internship, as they will continue to receive all military pay and benefits. Upon successful completion of this internship, you will be well prepared and encouraged to apply for open positions listed on our careers page.

Pay Range: Unpaid Internship
