Job description

DAILY DUTIES:
Daily duties include managing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting a statewide network infrastructure built upon a foundation of various solutions, such as Cisco/Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet/FortiGate, Certes, and Citrix NetScaler, and Trellix technologies.

The Sr. Network Engineer will be proactive in their approach to monitor network performance, ensure efficient communication across the network, review and improve security compliance through cybersecurity best practices, and implement updates or changes to maintain optimal connectivity and secure version compliance.

Candidate will be part of a multi-team environment and must have the ability to work as part of those teams and must have the ability to support multiple tasks at the same time, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The candidate will work closely with technical teams and should be able to provide knowledge transfer and informal training to peers where appropriate.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform the configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of networking products.

• Troubleshoot network failures and identify network problems.

• Network analysis, design, installation, configuration, and support.

• Maintain network diagrams and other network documentation.

• Provide configuration, troubleshooting and problem resolution support.

• Troubleshoot and remediate issues in a complex, voice-integrated infrastructure.

Interview Process: Two Rounds. Candidate needs to be prepared to go onsite for one or both interviews.

Duration of the Contract: 12 Months

Possibility for Extension: Yes

Work Location: Fully Onsite

Candidates must be residents of SC, NC, or GA AND be willing to relocate within 40 miles of Blythewood, SC prior to their start date at their own expense.
