Job description

Job Title Infrastructure Network Engineer (Cisco Network Operations) Overview We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Network Engineer to support network operations, infrastructure maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical implementations within a Cisco-based enterprise networking environment. This role requires strong expertise in network operations, incident management, routing and switching technologies, automation, and infrastructure support in a 24/7 operational environment. Key Responsibilities Provide Level 3 incident, change, and configuration management to restore services and maintain network performance. Provide escalation support for network infrastructure across enterprise environments. Collaborate with engineering, planning, manufacturing IT, and site IT teams on network upgrades and integrations. Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, ROMMON, DNA Center, wireless controllers, and access points. Configure and support routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, ISIS, OMP, and LISP. Manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies, including VLANs, EtherChannel, and trunking. Support Software-Defined Networking technologies including ACI, SD-Access, and SD-WAN. Automate manual operational tasks using scripting. Assist with API development and tool integrations to support network infrastructure. Perform advanced diagnostics using packet captures and system logs. Document work within the ticketing system and communicate status updates to customers. Coordinate with vendor partners to support operational activities. Track and maintain Network Operations Center (NOC) metrics and KPIs. Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles. Provide guidance and support to Level 1 and Level 2 support teams. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree. 5+ years of experience in change and incident management within a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment. Strong experience with Cisco networking technologies. Deep understanding of infrastructure architecture, including networking, storage, hosting, and Cisco routing, switching, and voice/data systems. Proven experience in global IT delivery, project management, and team leadership. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong multitasking abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing and managing APIs. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP). CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent).
