Job description

Network Engineer

We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our client's Network and Voice team supporting a highly available enterprise network environment. This role will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, monitoring, and improving wired, wireless, WAN, cloud, and remote-access infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, firewalls, SD-WAN, VPN, and enterprise networking along with strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

What You'll Do:

  • Implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, remote-access, and SD-WAN environments, including switches, firewalls, Meraki wireless access points, load balancers, and related network services.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Cato SD-WAN, VPN, and ZTNA connectivity supporting branch locations, remote users, and Azure-connected workloads.
  • Monitor network health, availability, performance, and traffic patterns; troubleshoot escalated incidents, perform root cause analysis, and proactively address recurring network issues.
  • Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, firmware updates, hardware refreshes, configuration changes, and network maintenance while maintaining accurate diagrams, documentation, standards, and runbooks.
  • Collaborate with internal IT and Security teams, carriers, and technology vendors to resolve complex issues, maintain secure connectivity, and provide occasional support for voice and contact center technologies.

What Gets You the Job: 

  • 2+ years of enterprise networking experience with strong knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, wireless networking, firewalls, and network monitoring.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking and Meraki wireless technologies; CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification is preferred.
  • Experience with Cato SD-WAN, VPN/ZTNA, Fortinet firewalls, load balancing, and modern remote-access technologies is highly preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills with experience supporting distributed enterprise environments; exposure to Azure networking and Five9 or RingCentral is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
