Summary
Supports general site operations by performing various administrative and operation support tasks. These tasks include but are not limited to: the scanning of stained slides, organizing and filing documentation and biological samples, generation of necessary paperwork, etc.. This role requires strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to ensure seamless coordination across teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Digitizing samples on different imaging platforms according to device-specific SOPs
  • Organization and filing of biological samples at various storage conditions
  • Organization and filing of documentation generated by various departments
  • Reviewing of study files for completeness
  • Generation of necessary paperwork to complete assigned tasks
Education 
  • Must be a student at a college or university pursuing a degree. Majors in biology, laboratory science or medicine preferred
Qualification and Skills
  • Previous data entry, or administrative support experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with handling biological samples (blood/tissue) an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Professional, cooperative, and team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to execute independently within defined procedures.
  • Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures and makes sound decisions
  • Knowledge of English (oral and written) required.
  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to type and file and to reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand and sit. The employee is required to walk, talk, see and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Working Conditions
  • Hours: 20-30 hours a week.
