Key Projects and Learning Outcomes
During the internship, you will:
  • Contribute to an HCP Targeting Optimization initiative by analyzing multiple data sources, evaluating targeting strategies, and developing insights that inform how sales teams prioritize healthcare providers.
  • Support an Incentive Compensation Effectiveness & Alignment assessment by examining how incentive plan metrics, performance outcomes, and payouts align with desired sales behaviors and business objectives.
  • Develop executive-ready analyses, presentations, and dashboards that help inform Sales Operations and leadership decisions.
  • Gain exposure to how analytics supports sales strategy, resource deployment, and commercial execution in the biotechnology space.

Responsibilities
Analytics & Insight Development
  • Perform quantitative analyses using Excel and analytics or visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL).
  • Analyze historical performance, attainment, and payout data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Document analytical assumptions, methodologies, and outputs to ensure work is repeatable and scalable.

Business Partnership
  • Work closely with the Associate Director of Sales Operations to understand sales strategy, operational priorities, and analytical context.
  • Participate in cross-functional discussions to learn how analytics supports commercial decision-making.

Communication & Delivery
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for business and leadership audiences.
  • Communicate findings through presentations, dashboards, and written summaries.
  • Manage assigned workstreams with increasing independence while actively incorporating feedback and guidance.

Education & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, Health Informatics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Must remain enrolled in university for at least one semester following completion of the internship.
  • Expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A curious, analytical mindset and interest in using data to solve real-world business problems.
  • Comfort working with data in Microsoft Excel and an interest in learning tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings.
  • A collaborative attitude and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, professional environment.
  • Interest in the biotechnology and oncology landscape; prior exposure to healthcare systems, data storytelling, or commercial operations is a plus.

Why This Internship?
