ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary

The Marketing and Communications Intern position is ideal for college students who are looking to gain experience in all facets of marketing and communications while learning about the aviation industry. The ideal candidate should be passionate about writing for a variety of mediums, marketing, social media, and creating engaging content.

This twelve-week rotational program kicks off with an orientation and training session, led by our Marketing and Communication professionals. Our team members and mentors will help you navigate while continuing to learn about our businesses and marketing and communication functions. You will be challenged to perform at the highest levels of excellence and are rewarded for your achievements in a demanding environment. Access to senior management and a strong network of peers will promote ongoing professional development throughout the summer. Top performing interns may receive a full-time offer to join one of our Marketing and Communication functions.  

Job Responsibilities 
  • Assist with content creation across all departments (signage, portal signage, social media)
  • Assist internal communications team with digital signage including compilation of stories, news, and graphics
  • Write and edit features for distribution on internal portal
  • Assist with feature stories on Culture Corner (external)
  • Participate in brainstorming and development of content ideas for internal and external
  • Create graphics and content for proactive recruitment
  • Assist in event preparation including data entry, logistics and shipping for career fairs
  • Partner with leaders to support efforts through strategic analysis, tracking performance vs. goals, and providing recommendations and insights for current and future campaigns
  • Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Position SpecificsQualificationsRequired
  • Enrolled in a college/university with an anticipated degree in communications, marketing, public relations, graphic design.
  • Expected graduation date of December 2026 - June 2027 from a bachelor's program.
  • Working knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) or Canva software.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Strong graphic design or interest in graphic design.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to speak/read/write in English. 
  • If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Portfolio required and can include any combination of written, graphic, digital examples or course work.

Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications. 

Authorities: None 

Supervisory Responsibility: This is not a supervisory position.  

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb up and down stairs; lift weight up to 25 lbs; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
