GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The Intermediate RF Test Technician will be responsible in supporting the electrical testing of various RF and Microwave products including, Low Noise Amplifiers (LNA's), Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA's), Mixers/Converters, and other related products. This position requires the ability to obtain security clearance, if needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Perform RF and Microwave electrical testing to validate product compliance.
• Provide electrical and environmental stress test support at various stages within the production process (Post ESS, Pre-Seal Testing, Final Acceptance Testing, Qualification Testing, etc.)
• Generate and assemble technical reports with results from .sNp or .CSV files exported from Network Analyzer, Oscilloscopes, Data Loggers, or other test equipment.
• Setup and calibrate electrical test equipment such as PNA and PNA-X Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Noise Figure Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Digital Multimeters, High and Low Power DC Supplies, Power Meters and Sensors, Load Pull/Sliding-Shorts, Oscilloscopes, Arbitrary Function Generators, and Phase Noise Measurement Systems.
• Assist in creating and/or updating test procedures and work instructions.
• Able to understand and work from verbal instructions, test specifications and procedures, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Understand and follow all safety requirements, as well as ISO Procedures.
• Other job duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Enthusiastic attitude with a strong sense of urgency and work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Understanding of fundamental RF and DC testing including but not limited to DC Current, Power Added Efficiency (PAE), Frequency, Gain, Gain Flatness, Noise Figure, Return Loss/VSWR, 1dB Compression, Power Saturation, Harmonics, Two Tone 2nd and 3rd Order Intercept Points, AM-PM, Phase Noise, Spurious and Stability testing.
• Attention to detail and able to follow technical documentation such as Work Instructions, Acceptance Test Procedures, Travelers/Routers,
• Poses an Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
• Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.
• Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies.
• Willingness and ability to learn and utilize company technology for company required purposes, including, for example training, reviewing and signing policies and procedures, benefits enrollment and changes, and more.
• Proficient with standard PC software such as MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with environmental test equipment such as vibration machines, shock towers, altitude chambers, thermal vacuum chambers, and EMI/EMC is desirable but not required.
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance, if needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Associate Degree preferred or equivalent experience and training.
• 2+ years experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Shop floor environment / Workbench or workstation
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
