We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Interior Plant Technician to join our dynamic Bay Area Maintenance team. In this role, you will play a key part by maintaining and caring for interior plant installation and thriving vertical gardens. If you're passionate about creating beautiful, sustainable environments and have the skills to make a real impact, we'd love for you to help us make our cities greener, one space at a time.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide care for interior plants and living walls, ensuring their health and overall appearance
  • Perform aesthetic and functional pruning, including deadheading, to maintain plant vitality
  • Manage pest and plant disease issues (with direction), including but not limited to; identification, treatment, and prevention
  • Planting with attention to detail and proper technique
  • Identify and report issues related to pests, diseases, or damage to green spaces
  • Assist with the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of irrigation systems
  • Follow fertilizer and irrigation schedules, adjusting as necessary to optimize plant health
  • Communicate effectively with team members using mobile technology and other tools
  • Transport plants and supplies, as needed, to support project and maintenance needs


Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience and passion for interiorscape plant care
  • Knowledge of tropical interior plants and ornamental exterior landscape plants
  • Proficiency in identifying common plant pests and understanding their management
  • Familiarity with irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Experience with nutrients and fertilizers for plants
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and confidently make informed decisions
  • Ability to interpret unknowns and make confident informed decisions
  • Energetic, hardworking, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic

Requirements:

  • A valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Reliable personal vehicle for transportation to various work sites (mileage, parking and tolls reimbursed)
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working on ladders and, when necessary, from mechanical lifts
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining landscape hand tools
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment, including proper care of tools and equipment
