Fast-growing healthcare company is seeking a Senior Interior Designer. Go Energistics, LLC. (GoE) is a Texas HUB certified and service-disabled veteran owned small business. We are a healthcare planning and services company that helps our clients plan, design, equip, procure, relocate, and establish new operations in rebuilt or new facilities globally. Summary
The Senior Interior Designer provides services for all assigned IOT amp;A projects, developing structural interior design (SID) and comprehensive interior design (CID) packages, from concept through procurement and installation, to include furniture fixtures amp; equipment (FF amp;E), artwork and signage. This position also serves mentor and oversees work of other interior designers.
Duties / Responsibilities
  • Provide interior design services for hospital project(s) developing comprehensive interior design (CID) packages, from concept through procurement and installation, to include furniture fixtures amp; equipment (FF amp;E), artwork and signage.
  • Provide oversight, review and coordination of interior design work.
  • Provide oversight and supervision of vendor installation on project site.
  • Track resolution completion and technical compliance of all interior design related action items and tasks for the project.
  • Ensure products and materials comply with medical military construction (MedMILCON) and the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), and Veteran Administration (VA) standards, including all applicable standards and guidelines.
  • Provide client and end-user coordination as necessary to ensure safety and regulation compliance (ABA and Joint Commission standards) within departmental and clinical spaces aligns with the equipment plans, furniture plans, specifications, and workflow in accordance with the concept of operations (CONOPS).
  • Advise leadership and end users with technical advice and recommendations regarding interior design matters including, technology advancements, product innovations, adaptability and process improvements.
  • Provide support and guidance regarding Defense Health Agency (DHA), VA Office of Construction, Facilities amp; Maintenance (CFM) and/or Military Health System (MHS) goals and objectives regarding patient-centered care, evidence-based design (EBD), and leadership in energy amp; environmental design (LEED) standards.
  • Act as the design 'vision keeper' regarding project goals and objectives, in educating users and maintaining the overall design intent throughout project duration.
  • Coordinate with Project Manager and Transition Manager through the elements of planning, movement, and transition activities, as it relates to interior design and FF amp;E goals.
  • Able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Provide oversight to production team and junior- mid-level design staff.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with project management teams in project meetings or individually to correct and prepare documents and products for submission.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in interior design/architecture
  • National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) Certification or American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers (AAHID) certification.
  • 5 years of healthcare related interior design experience, preferred.
  • Proficient in CAD and Revit software, required.
  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare operations and related furniture, fixtures, casework/case goods and signage, and be able to translate requirements into design/construction/installation documents.
  • Experience with VA/DoD medical facilities preferred.
  • Experience with 3-D computer software, preferred
Travel Requirements
  • Travel required approximately once a month for a week’s duration, as project requires.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • No direct supervision of others.
  • Serves as mentor to other interior designers.
