LRS Architects is seeking a curious, motivated, and design forward Interior Designer to join our Senior Living and Multi-family housing teams. This is a great opportunity for a talented design professional looking to contribute meaningfully while continuing to build technical and leadership skills within a collaborative, people-first firm.


In this role, youโ€™ll support the full project lifecycleโ€”from design concept through construction documentation. Youโ€™ll work alongside project managers, design leads, consultants, and client teams to bring thoughtful interior environments to life.


WHAT YOUโ€™LL DO:

  • Support project execution through clear, timely communication with the internal team, clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Assist in producing, coordinating, and refining design documentation and drawing sets using Revit.
  • Help ensure project objectives align with scope, schedule, and budget, and support Design Leads in tracking progress.
  • Manage your time effectively and meet deadlines with foresight and flexibility.
  • Contribute to a strong team culture of accountability, mentorship, and continuous learning.
  • Participate in construction administration activities as needed.

Requirements:

WHAT YOUโ€™LL BRING:

  • A design-forward passion for shaping impactful, human-centered environments in Senior Living and Multi-Family housing.
  • Experience in interior design for Senior Living, Multifamily, and/or Hospitalityโ€”both on large-scale (100+ unit) new construction teams and smaller, independent renovation projects.
  • A proactive, team-first mindset with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • The ability to independently manage your workload and anticipate next steps.
  • A desire to grow within a supportive team and contribute to multiple project types and scales.
  • Confidence working within architectural and interior design standards and documentation.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE VALUE:

  • Professional degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture.
  • 4โ€“15 years of professional experience in an architecture or interior design studio.
  • Proficiency in Revit (intermediate to advanced required) and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Sketchup or other 3D modeling software.
  • Familiarity with building codes and coordination with local jurisdictions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience designing, producing and coordinating documentation for housing projects.
  • Experience with Deltek Ajera is a plus.
  • LEED accreditation or NCIDQ certification is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design practices to include WELL, Fitwel, LEED
