Position Summary
Develop designs and plans for the interior of health and fitness facilities based on the needs of the client. Creates functional and aesthetic designs that help boost productivity, increase sales, attract customers and enhance spaces. Directs Interiors Interns and Technicians within a project assignment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Practical understanding of interior design factors; including code compliance, space planning, and utilization of furnishings, fixtures and equipment
  • Provides programming and space planning analysis as needed
  • Independently prepares design plans (including elevations and details, reflected ceiling plans, millwork design, furniture layouts, ergonomic dimensions, finish selections plans, color plans and schedules) and prepares contract documents
  • Maintains relationship and open communication with project managers and internal business partners
  • Conducts site observations and documentation analysis during construction process as required
  • Reviews and processes project submittals, RFI's and change management documents during construction administration as it relates to interior design and specifications
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex issues
  • Self-checks work for accuracy, omissions and legibility
  • Creates accurate FF&E specification and coordination with FF&E Manager

Position Requirements
  • Interior Design degree from CIDA Accredited Program
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience of relative interior design experience
  • Experience in application of interior design principles and theory
  • CAD, Revit, 3D computer modeling/Sketch-up, Excel, Word and Power Point

Preferred Requirements
  • CID/NCIDQ
  • LEED AP

Pay
This is a salaried position starting at $58,000.00(or applicable minimum salary, if higher) and pays up to $80,000.00, based on experience and qualifications.
