If Yes, Here's How You Will Contribute to the Team:
As a Director of Staff Development (DSD LPN/LVN), you will provide the necessary orientation, educational, and learning opportunities in a supportive environment that will assist staff in gaining the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to perform assigned duties safely and effectively. You will monitor the activities of nursing staff to ensure the quality of care complies with state, federal, and corporate standards. Additionally, you will direct the infection prevention and control program and oversee its activities.
Must Have:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience providing direct care to multiple residents
  • Nursing degree from an accredited college or graduation from an approved LPN/LVN program
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice as LPN/LVN in the state
  • Knowledge of, or training in, adult learning or previous training experience
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care

Nice to Have:
  • Infection Prevention Certified
  • Supervisory experience
