Job description

ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Nashville General Hospital seeks to hire an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Nashville, TN.

As an ICU RN you will:

  • Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
  • Provide respiratory, and ventilator management and monitoring for patients.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of your healthcare team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Program
  • 2 years minimum of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience preferred
  • BLS and ACLS are required
  • Current Tennessee RN license
  • Effective interpersonal skills to facilitate communication with various members of the health care team, patients, and families.
