Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' experiences and needs effectively.
  • Craft and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience practices tailored to each patient.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process trauma, develop adaptive coping strategies, and foster healing.
  • Engage in collaborative care strategies with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive treatment for patients.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and therapeutic support during trauma-related emergencies.
  • Educate patients and their families on trauma-informed care principles, coping techniques, and available community resources.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient interactions, adhering to ethical and legal standards, as well as using electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.
  • Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on evolving trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on clients suffering from trauma-related conditions, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. You will be entrusted with cultivating a safe, trusting therapeutic space where patients feel empowered to share their experiences and embark on their healing journeys.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Tennessee.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working in mental health, particularly with trauma-focused therapy.
  • In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed modalities, and strategies for resilience building.
  • Expertise in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions, with a strong commitment to best practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage with clients compassionately and without judgment.
