Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation is accepting applications for an Outpatient Therapy Coordinator (Scheduler). This position is responsible for the coordination of the service provision of their designated treatment team. The OP Therapy Coordinator functions include insurance verification, timeliness and accuracy of patient referrals entered into EMR and Financial Systems that establish patient care and billing services. The OP Therapy Coordinator develops individualized treatment schedules for patients in conjunction with all disciplines, maximizing patient potential to participate as recommended in the plan of care. The OP Therapy Coordinator assists in the development of active communication and relationships with outside vendors, referring physician's offices and other referral sources. He or she works directly with Clinical staff to determine appropriate scheduling needs for patients. We make a difference in our patients' lives Every Single Day!
Scope of authority -
The OP Therapy Coordinator will report directly to the Clinic Manager when working off-site, and to the OP Business Office Leader when working at the Main Campus. No direct supervisory responsibility.
Minimum qualifications or equivalents -
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:
  • Experience in hospital environment, preferred.
  • 2 years experience in data entry.

Skills/Competencies:
  • Willingness to continue education and professional training.
  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Ability to complete tasks in individual and team capacity
  • Willingness to accept and give constructive criticism
  • Minimal computer skills preferred
