Summary: In this role, you will lead the operational management and continued maturation of Vizientโ€™s AI Intelligent Automation organization, translating enterprise AI and automation strategy into an executable portfolio that delivers measurable business value. You will own portfolio management, intake and prioritization, roadmap planning, workforce and capacity planning, budgeting, vendor management, governance, performance reporting, and business value realization. You will partner with business and technology leaders to identify high-value opportunities, establish priorities, and ensure investments align with enterprise objectives. Working closely with the Manager, AI Automation Engineering, who owns engineering delivery and AI Automation Delivery POD execution, and the Lead AI Automation Engineer, who owns solution architecture and engineering standards, you will ensure initiatives move predictably through the AI Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC). As a key partner to the Senior Director, AI Intelligent Automation, you will provide visibility into portfolio health, organizational capacity, financial performance, delivery risks, and business outcomes while continuously improving the organizationโ€™s operating model, capabilities, governance, and delivery maturity.

Responsibilities
  • Own enterprise automation intake, assessment, prioritization, and portfolio governance.
  • Manage roadmap planning, business demand, and portfolio sequencing.
  • Lead workforce planning, hiring, contractor strategy, and resource allocation.
  • Own operational budgets, licensing, vendor management, and financial reporting.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define priorities and measure business value.
  • Monitor portfolio KPIs, operational health, customer satisfaction, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Provide executive reporting and regular portfolio updates.
  • Ensure governance, AI Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC) compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to identify and remove delivery risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement and organizational maturity.
Qualifications
  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology or automation leadership.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Experience with portfolio management, budgets, staffing, governance, and vendors.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience with portfolio management, roadmap planning, capacity planning, governance, and KPI reporting.
  • Experience partnering with business stakeholders, communicating with executives, and managing financial and vendor relationships.
  • Experience with UiPath, Microsoft Power Platform, and AI-enabled automation.
Preferred Experience
  • Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) leadership.
  • Enterprise transformation experience.
  • Healthcare or regulated-industry experience.
Estimated Hiring Range

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach.

Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range.

Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances.

The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
