To excel in Intelligence Collection, candidates usually need strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and an understanding of intelligence-gathering methods, often supported by a relevant degree in criminal justice, international relations, or a related field. Familiarity with intelligence databases, surveillance technologies, and systems such as SIGINT or HUMINT platforms is valuable, and certifications like Certified Intelligence Analyst (CIA) can enhance prospects. Critical thinking, ethical judgment, and clear written and verbal communication are important soft skills for effective collaboration and reporting. These competencies ensure that intelligence is accurately collected, interpreted, and conveyed to support organizational or national security objectives.
An Intelligence Collection job involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting information from various sources to support decision-making in government, military, law enforcement, or private sector organizations. Professionals in this role use techniques like open-source research, human intelligence (HUMINT), signals intelligence (SIGINT), and geospatial intelligence (GEOINT). Their work helps identify threats, assess risks, and provide actionable insights. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and discretion are essential for success in this field.
As an Intelligence Collection professional, your daily tasks may include gathering data from open and confidential sources, monitoring alerts or surveillance feeds, and synthesizing raw information into actionable intelligence reports. You might also verify information accuracy, maintain secure databases, and brief internal teams or leadership on key findings. Collaboration with analysts, field operatives, and other intelligence professionals is common to ensure comprehensive intelligence products. This role offers a dynamic work environment that often requires adapting to rapidly changing priorities and working discreetly with sensitive information.

Global Dimensions is a HUBZone-certified, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This position collaborates closely with all-source analysts, collection managers, operational personnel, and Intelligence Community (IC) partners to synchronize intelligence collection efforts supporting Department of Defense and U.S. Marine Corps operations.
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of intelligence collection management principles, intelligence disciplines, and the Intelligence Community collection process while supporting mission planning, operational execution, and decision-making.
Essential Job Functions:

Utilize technical collection systems and Intelligence Community capabilities independently and collaboratively to satisfy intelligence requirements.
Assess collected intelligence reporting to determine effectiveness, identify collection gaps, and recommend adjustments to collection strategies.
Collaborate with all-source analysts to identify new and emerging intelligence requirements.
Continuously update and refine collection plans based on changing operational priorities and intelligence reporting.
Submit and manage collection requirements supporting:
Plan, coordinate, and synchronize collection support for both Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) operations.
Conduct research and analysis of ongoing operations using all-source intelligence to support collection planning.
Coordinate with legal, technical, analytical, counterintelligence, and other government organizations to ensure operational integrity and compliance.
Provide operational guidance and collection management support throughout the intelligence lifecycle.
Prepare and deliver intelligence collection briefings, status updates, and operational recommendations to Government leadership.
Perform additional duties as assigned in support of mission objectives.
Required Skills:
