About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.
This position is with the U.S. Army INSCOM, 470th Military Intelligence Brigade, 312th Military Intelligence Battalion and the U.S. Army Western Hemisphere Command Analysis and Control Element (ACE) located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.Qualifications:As part of the assessment process, your resume will be evaluated using a competency-based method. This structured evaluation measures your qualifications, experience and skills against the core competencies required for the position. Final scores will determine whether you are referred to the Hiring Manager for further consideration.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Serving as an assistant or deputy supervisory intelligence specialist within GEOINT; Overseeing subordinates in a personnel management capacity; and Being a supervisor of multidisciplinary personnel team. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG-13).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.Education:This job does not have an education qualification requirement.Employment Type: OTHER
