Job description

The AI Developer will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing Daikinamericas.ai, the enterprise AI framework built on Azure OpenAI, and in developing new AI-enabled applications and other initiatives approved by the AI Governance Council. The role requires not only strong technical expertise but also the ability to engage directly with business stakeholders, understand their needs, and translate them into scalable, secure, and impactful AI solutions.

Position Responsibilities May Include:

  • Maintain and optimize Daikinamericas.ai platform, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-enabled applications and other approved initiatives.
  • Engage directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify use cases, and align AI solutions with business objectives.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications and actionable development plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, product, business users) to deliver AI solutions that meet enterprise standards.
  • Integrate Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and related services into business workflows and applications.
  • Ensure adherence to AI governance, security, and responsible AI practices.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve deployed applications for accuracy, adoption, and user experience.
  • Provide clear documentation and knowledge transfer to support adoption and scaling across departments.
  • Support proofs-of-concept and pilot programs for new AI opportunities.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

  • Knowledge of MLOps practices, deployment pipelines, and monitoring AI applications.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data governance, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with business stakeholders and translate non-technical requirements into AI solutions.
  • Ability to balance technical depth with practical, business-oriented outcomes.

Education/Certification:

Preferred certifications:

  • Additional AI/ML or data-focused certifications considered a plus.
