Position Details:

Echo NDE is currently seeking a Pipeline Integrity Technician to support our PLI division across Western Canada and the United States.


  • Locate, identify, and interpret pipeline flaws utilizing various NDE inspection methods.
  • Ability to perform various examinations on live natural gas or liquid pipelines.
  • Review of pipeline integrity inspection report, including assisting other pipeline integrity technicians with reporting.
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain inspection equipment.
  • Conducts inspections on parts, following procedures established for specified inspection task being performed.
  • Evaluate results according to specifications and standards.
  • Assist with various other inspection tasks.
  • Organize and report inspection results & communicate results to the responsible engineer.
  • Interpret, process, and correlate inline inspection data.
  • Adhere to all company quality and safety policies and procedures.

  • CGSB Ultrasonic Testing (UTII) certificate.
  • CGSB Magnetic Particle Testing (MTII) certificate.
  • PCN PAUT Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the pipeline industry and, more specifically, pipeline integrity inspections required.
  • Ability to manage and organize large and varied amounts of data.
  • Possess good analytical skills, detail oriented.
  • Be able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally (English).
  • Be able to pass a vision and color detection test.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license minimum (class 5) with a clean driving record.
  • Able to work well within a team environment.
