**This position will be primarily based out of Jefferson with travel required to Guthrie Center. It is a mixture of Day Habilitation Services and Supported Employment Services**


This role operates in a Day Habilitation (DAY HAB) Setting, defined as services that provide opportunities and support for community inclusion and build interest in and develop skills for active participation in recreation, volunteerism and integrated community employment. (Iowa Health & Human Services). Day Habilitation provides assistance with acquisition, retention, or improvement of socialization, community participation, and daily living skills. It will also operate in a Supported Employment (SE) Setting, defined as services that enables the member to obtain and maintain individual employment (Iowa Health & Human Services). Rather than assuming individuals with development or intellectual disabilities are not qualified to work, Supported Employment services provide these individuals with the opportunity to obtain and maintain meaningful employment that supports their life goals.

  • Vocational & Community Employment Support: Support individuals in job development and retention, including applications, interviews, coaching, employer communication, transportation to job sites, and collaboration with schools, IEP teams, and community partners.
  • Program Participation & Professional Responsibilities: Participate in cross-training, vocational program decisions, community integration activities, equipment safety, medication administration (as applicable), compliance with all regulations (OSHA, DHS, CARF, HCBS), and maintain flexibility for scheduling, weekends, and additional duties.
