What is an integration product manager?

Integration Product Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing the development and management of products that connect different software systems or platforms. They focus on ensuring seamless data exchange and functionality between products, often working with APIs and other integration tools. Their role involves collaborating with engineering, design, and business teams to define integration requirements, prioritize features, and deliver solutions that meet customer needs. Integration Product Managers also monitor performance, address technical challenges, and help drive the overall product strategy related to integrations.

What are some common challenges an integration product manager faces when working across multiple teams?

Integration Product Managers often coordinate efforts between engineering, sales, customer success, and external partners. A common challenge is aligning different teams' priorities and timelines, especially when dependencies affect the delivery of integrated solutions. Job description

Product Manager - OEM Integrations

Pinewood.AI is looking for a Product Manager - OEM Integrations to join our Product Team and help shape the future of our Automotive Intelligence Platform.

This is a hands-on product role within a high-performing SaaS environment, focused on the technology, data and integration capabilities that connect automotive manufacturers, retailers and the Pinewood.AI platform. You'll turn customer insight, OEM and partner requirements, business needs and technical opportunities into clear, valuable and scalable product improvements.

You'll work across complex integration capabilities, collaborating closely with OEM partners, customers, architects, engineers, delivery teams and internal stakeholders. You'll be responsible for defining, shaping and delivering integration products and capabilities that are reliable, scalable, well documented and capable of supporting complex automotive data flows and business processes.

The role spans the full product lifecycle, from discovery and research through requirements definition, technical specification, delivery, release and continuous improvement. You'll translate complex technical and data requirements into clear product outcomes, while balancing customer and partner value, commercial priorities, technical considerations and delivery capacity.

You'll also lead, guide and support Associate Product Managers and Project Delivery Managers, ensuring their work is aligned with product priorities and delivery plans.

This role suits an experienced Product Manager who is commercially aware, technically curious, highly organised and confident working with complex integrations and data, and who enjoys turning challenging customer, OEM and technical requirements into valuable, measurable product outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for assigned OEM integration capabilities, ensuring they support Pinewood.AI's wider product strategy, customer needs and commercial objectives.
  • Build a strong understanding of OEM, dealer and customer workflows, using customer insight, partner feedback, market intelligence and data to identify and validate product opportunities.
  • Lead product discovery across assigned areas, working with OEM partners, customers, Engineering, Architecture, UX, QA, Delivery and Commercial teams to understand problems, opportunities and technical considerations.
  • Translate business, customer, OEM and technical needs into clear product outcomes, requirements and delivery priorities.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, making informed decisions based on customer value, commercial impact, technical feasibility, dependencies, risk and available delivery capacity.
  • Define clear user stories, acceptance criteria, feature requirements and success measures, ensuring teams have the clarity needed to deliver effectively.
  • Develop and maintain product and integration documentation, including process flows, sequence diagrams, data mappings and integration specifications, where required.
  • Work closely with Architects and Engineering teams to understand integration patterns, technical constraints, dependencies and trade-offs, ensuring product decisions support scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Use data, customer feedback, product insight and delivery outcomes to evaluate performance, inform decisions and continuously improve the product.
  • Identify and manage product risks, dependencies and integration challenges, ensuring issues are understood, prioritized and addressed proactively.
  • Support the delivery lifecycle from discovery through development, testing, release and post-release evaluation, ensuring outcomes remain aligned with the intended product objectives.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with OEMs, customers, dealers and internal stakeholders, acting as a key product contact and ensuring expectations and priorities are clearly understood.
  • Communicate product direction, priorities, roadmap progress, release plans and product outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead, guide and support Associate Product Managers and Project Delivery Managers, helping ensure their work aligns with product priorities and delivery plans.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Pinewood.AI's integration capabilities, identifying opportunities to improve scalability, reliability, reusability and the overall partner and customer experience.
  • Carry out horizon scanning across OEM technology, automotive industry trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies to inform future product direction.
  • Support product and integration sign-off, ensuring delivered capabilities meet agreed requirements, quality expectations and business objectives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager within a SaaS, software, technology or enterprise software environment, with ownership of products or capabilities through the full product lifecycle.
  • Experience working with OEMs, automotive technology, dealership systems, enterprise platforms or complex B2B integrations; experience within automotive retail would be particularly beneficial.
  • Demonstrable experience working with APIs, system integrations and data exchange, ideally involving external partners, customers or third-party platforms.
  • Good technical understanding of RESTful APIs, webhooks, JSON and XML, with the ability to understand how systems exchange and process data.
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting API documentation, technical specifications and integration requirements, and translating technical information into clear product decisions and requirements.
  • Understanding of data flows, data mapping and transformation, with the ability to identify potential issues relating to data quality, validation, interoperability and integration.
  • Experience working closely with Software Engineers, Architects, QA and Delivery teams, with the ability to understand technical constraints and trade-offs without needing to own the technical implementation.
  • Strong product management capability across discovery, prioritization, roadmap development, delivery and measuring product outcomes.
  • Experience gathering and synthesizing customer, partner and business needs into clear product requirements and actionable priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use qualitative and quantitative insight to make informed product decisions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience leading, mentoring or supporting Product Managers, Associate Product Managers, Business Analysts, Delivery Managers or similar colleagues.
  • Commercially aware, with an understanding of how product decisions can influence customer value, operational efficiency, revenue and business performance.
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities, dependencies and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident working in situations involving ambiguity, changing requirements and complex technical or business challenges.
  • Experience using product and delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Figma or similar.
  • Strong practical understanding of Agile product development, with experience working within Scrum, Kanban, Lean or similar frameworks.
Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to join a growing SaaS product organization working on a complex enterprise platform at the heart of the automotive retail industry.

As Product Manager - OEM Integrations, you'll have real ownership of integration product areas and the opportunity to influence both product strategy and technical direction. You'll work directly with OEM partners and across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Delivery and Commercial teams to solve complex integration and data challenges.

You'll have the opportunity to shape how manufacturers, retailers and Pinewood.AI connect, exchange data and work together through a modern, scalable Automotive Intelligence Platform - with a direct impact on the efficiency, reliability and commercial value delivered to customers.
