Payroll & Benefits Manager
Location: Wendell, NC
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5PM
We are seeking a Payroll & Benefits Manager to take full ownership of payroll and benefits operations across North America. This role sits at the center of HR, finance, and compliance-ensuring employees are paid accurately, benefits run smoothly, and nothing slips through the cracks.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and process weekly and bi-weekly payroll with a high level of accuracy
- Lead administration of U.S. and Canada benefits programs, including renewals and open enrollment
- Support benefits integration for acquisitions and newly onboarded entities
- Partner with vendors and internal teams to resolve employee payroll and benefits inquiries
- Prepare and report headcount data and support regulatory filings (ACA, Form 5500, etc.)
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and international regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required
- 3+ years of experience managing multi-state payroll and benefits programs required
- Experience overseeing payroll and benefits for 1000+ employees strongly preferred, over 700 required
- Familiarity with Canadian benefits and payroll is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience working with multiple payroll and HRIS systems
