About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Integration Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and modernization of enterprise integration solutions across a complex technology landscape. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in API-led connectivity, Microservices, Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), Java, Spring Boot, Oracle PL/SQL, and cloud-native architectures. This role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on development experience, and the ability to guide distributed teams in delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing integration platforms that support critical business operations.

In This Role You Will
  • Design, develop, and implement enterprise integration solutions using MuleSoft, IBM Integration Bus (IIB), App Connect Enterprise (ACE), and related integration technologies.
  • Lead the architecture and development of RESTful APIs, SOAP services, microservices, and event-driven solutions across enterprise platforms.
  • Build and support Java and Spring Boot-based applications and microservices that enable scalable and resilient business capabilities.
  • Design API-led connectivity frameworks and integration patterns that support secure, reusable, and high-performance enterprise services.
  • Develop cloud-native and containerized integration solutions leveraging AWS, Docker, and modern application development practices.
  • Create scalable enterprise architecture solutions using Microservices, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) patterns.
  • Lead integration deployments across cloud platforms, application servers, API gateways, and integration middleware environments.
  • Provide technical leadership for Oracle PL/SQL development, database optimization, and application performance tuning initiatives.
  • Establish integration standards, reusable frameworks, accelerators, and development best practices to improve delivery efficiency and solution consistency.
  • Drive adoption of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and continuous monitoring strategies.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, solution architects, and business analysts to define requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, and architecture assessments to ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Lead onshore and offshore development teams, providing technical direction, mentoring, and delivery oversight.
  • Support production releases, deployment planning, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and ongoing application support activities.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend modernization strategies that improve integration capabilities and accelerate business outcomes.
What You Need to Have to Be Considered
  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise application development, integration architecture, and API-led solution delivery.
  • Extensive experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, IBM Integration Bus (IIB), App Connect Enterprise (ACE), and related enterprise integration technologies.
  • Strong hands-on development experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
  • Advanced experience with Oracle PL/SQL development, database design, SQL optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Proven expertise designing and implementing API-led connectivity, Microservices, SOA, and Event-Driven Architecture solutions.
  • Experience developing and deploying cloud-based applications and integrations within AWS and containerized environments using Docker.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, messaging frameworks, fault tolerance, scalability, and high-availability architecture.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitLab, Jenkins, or similar DevOps toolsets.
  • Demonstrated success leading distributed onshore/offshore teams and delivering large-scale enterprise integration initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting production systems, release management processes, and enterprise application lifecycle management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Proven ability to drive technical innovation while balancing operational stability and business priorities.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $83,600- $129,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
