Qualifications: What you need to bring

  • 10+ years of experience in information technology, software engineering, systems integration, data engineering, or related technical fields, required.
  • 3+ years of experience leading technical teams, required.
  • Previous experience deploying enterprise software, automation, or AI solutions to production at scale, required.
  • Previous experience operating between a business function and a centralized information technology and security organization, preferred.
  • Transportation industry experience preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite

  • Mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret user needs and translate into system requirements.

Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Lead the deployment of enterprise artificial intelligence and automation solutions from validated prototype to secure, supported production, and own the operating relationship between the AI function and Information Technology across the operating brands.

  • Oversee assigned employees, ensuring appropriately staffed, operating within budget constraints.
  • Ensure assigned employees have career development plans that provide the organization with strong bench strength for future leaders and specialized individual contributors.
  • Own the end-to-end AI deployment lifecycle, moving validated prototypes into live, monitored, and supported production tools.
  • Negotiate, execute, and maintain a written operating charter with Information Technology covering production ownership, security review, environments, data access, service levels, change control, and the build-to-run handoff.
  • Ensure deployed solutions are integrated, secure, and compliant with enterprise data governance and responsible-AI standards.
  • Establish technical standards, architecture patterns, and ways of working for the AI build team.
  • Partner with brand information technology leadership to land deployments across the operating companies.
  • Represent artificial intelligence in enterprise information technology, security, and architecture governance forums.
  • Own vendor and platform strategy, including build-versus-buy recommendations and platform and license oversight.
  • Oversee support, monitoring, and operational resilience of deployed AI and automation solutions, co-owned with Information Technology.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend practical applications that improve productivity, decision support, and operational performance.
  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objective.
