About the Job

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams.   We are currently looking to hire an RTT Coach based in Mt. Crawford, Virginia!  

 

The RTT Coach role is a critical function of IWS deployment, acting as an expert coach on the Dan-IWS program for all functions within the site, with key objectives of building the capabilities of the Line Trio, Shift Leads, and Equipment Owners and improving the standards of the RTT-Daily Management Systems. The RTT Coach role will also support wider IWS phase progression via pillar capability building and ongoing systems development.

Key Responsibilities:

As a key member of our team, you will play an important role in driving our mission forward. The following responsibilities outline the core expectations and contributions for this position:

  • Daily participation in Line DDS, Planned Stops, Department DDS with the intent to maintain and improve standards.
  • Daily participation with EO and LCO in eliminating losses through standard tools and systems including IPS, CL, CIL, DH, BDE, UPS & WPI.
  • Owning the standardization, maintenance, and improvement of Daily Management Systems deployed across the site. Utilize health checks daily to calibrate and improve the systems.
  • Maintain accurate RTT KPI and PR reporting and ensure 100% data accuracy.
  • Promotion and communication of Dan-IWS progress to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Membership of a site pillar team relevant to individual capabilities and site needs.
  • Daily coaching and direct responsibility of capability building of Line Trio, Shift Leads, and equipment owners in line with Dan-IWS systems.
    • Overall RTT deployment
    • Continued growth of Daily Management Systems
    • Shift, Line, Department & Weekly DDS cycles
    • Peer to peer shift handovers
    • PDCA cycles across pillars, lines & departments
  • Master of AM processes including MTM & WPA to support site deployment as an AM Coach.
  • Governance and review of EO coaching plans on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Guide standard implementation and support the maintenance of the PDCA methodology for RTT lines, departments, and pillars.
  • Support ODM’s with capability tracking and growth for Line Centric Organizations
  • Foster employee ownership culture.
  • Drives accountability within the team and self to implement and follow Danone Integrated Work Systems (IWS) principles
  • Provides training on key Daily Management Systems (DMS) to technicians, including evaluation and qualification
  • Support supply chain loss analysis/elimination
  • Drive cultural change by leading the organization engagement surveys results
  • Implements and follows all safety procedures as stated in safety standards, and code of ethics
  • Ensures all safety rules, plant rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and code of ethics are followed by employees, supervisors, customers, and visitors at all times
  • Trains, coaches, and gives timely performance appraisals to employees
  • Use data to identify process losses
  • Share and reapply learning across processes, modules, and plants
  • Prepare and give training on process changes
  • Develop self through participating in corporate and external training
  • Spend 60-80% of time on the floor
  • Delivers on SQCDMN daily/weekly/monthly/yearly goals and objectives through individual and team efforts
  • Ensures adherence to safety standards and regulations (WISE) to ensure a safe working environment
  • Other duties as assigned to this role.

As a fundamental piece of the organization, your responsibility is to participate and own the implementation and deployment of IWS system and its pillars (Leadership foundation, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE; Autonomous Maintenance; planned Maintenance; Focused Improvement; Education and Training; Environmental, Health and Safety; Quality; Organization; Supply Network; Early Equipment Management) with the objective of owning your space, owning your performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature) and owning your continuous improvement.

About You

Education & Experience:

  • 4-year engineering degree or equivalent preferred
  • 3 plus years manufacturing experience with demonstrated technical aptitude and leadership

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong coaching and training capability in RTT Daily Management Systems.
  • Overall excellent leadership, coordination, influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize with key stakeholders with excellent consideration of overall site needs.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills with a systematic and analytical mindset.
  • Extensive practical knowledge and experience of the application of factory standards.
  • Strong digital, data analysis and communication skills. With the ability to transform data into an easily understood visual representation.
  • Ability to identify, take ownership, and eliminate losses within processes, systems, capabilities and technologies.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Ability to work in a fluid environment
  • Ability to identify problems, draw conclusions, and make recommended solutions
  • Ability to be self-directed with little supervision
  • Ability to adjust schedule to support 24/7 Manufacturing Operation, may include working overtime, graveyard shift and/or weekends as needed.
