Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking an Integration/Test Engineering Specialist for RC-135 Mission Systems at our Offutt AFB, Nebraska location to provide immediate impact providing maintenance required to sustain extremely complex airborne and ground-based systems for the RC-135.

Essential Functions: 

  • Operating and sustaining digital/computer-based systems, associated networks, digital and analog audio/interphone and recorder systems.
  • Collaborate with systems, hardware, and software engineers to verify interface compatibility and system performance against mission requirements.
  • Repairing coax, ethernet, and multi-pin cables and connections.
  • Utilizing electronic schematic diagrams to troubleshoot and repair digital and analog circuits.
  • Operating LOS and SATCOM radios in voice, text, and data modes.
  • Configuring, loading, operating, and maintaining various crypto devices.
  • Performing configuration, setup, and usage of Data Transfer Devices.
  • Operating and sustaining various datalinks and broadband communications.
  • Troubleshooting/Repairing HF, VHF, and UHF receiver/transmitter systems.
  • Managing system records and coordinating with maintenance supply organizations for requisition, documentation, and turn-in of parts.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Able to work variable shifts depending upon mission requirements.
  • Must be worldwide deployable with the ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
  • Ability to climb ladders daily and lift to 50 lbs., 5% of the time.
  • Position will require occasional work in very close quarters as part of system installation or integration testing.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with six (6) years of experience operating and sustaining computer systems, communications, and datalinks.
  • Graduate Degree with four (4) experience operating and sustaining computer systems, communications, and datalinks.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of ten (10) experience operating and sustaining computer systems, communications, and datalinks.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience maintaining RC-135 mission systems or similar systems within the last 6 years.
  • Must have an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI within the first year.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Familiarity with signal generators, spectrum analyzers and other advanced test equipment.
  • Broadband and voice communications experience.
  • Qualified to maintain RC-135 mission systems within the last 2 years.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification.
  • Build, repair, re-pin, test various cable types.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve integration issues across hardware and software boundaries.
