Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Energy Solutions Manager to lead energy management at the University of Tampa.

Are you knowledgeable about how to identify, implement and evaluate new energy efficiency programs and technologies? Do you want to deliver measurable performance against energy and sustainability targets? Our clients depend on your expertise to help them to optimize their business and meet their targets. If you are a Strategic Energy Solutions Manager who can develop innovative technical solutions while successfully managing key performance indicators to drive strong business results, this may be the opportunity for you!

What You'll Do
  • Partner with client stakeholders, facility management and building operations staff to identify, manage and track progress on the most strategic opportunities to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions across a portfolio of sites
  • Identify opportunities to reduce energy, water, and waste through programs/procedures and provide guidance for energy efficiency and sustainability of construction and other capital projects. Review and calculate projected results and cost analyses for consideration and approval of energy & sustainability initiatives
  • Conduct technical reviews and energy walk-through assessments to ensure efficient operation of HVAC, Lighting and other critical assets
  • Manage, report and present data on critical energy saving projects as well as the status and overall effectiveness of the sustainability & energy management program
  • Participate in or lead energy management and sustainability training sessions for client staff and other Sodexo Managers
  • The candidate should demonstrate a keen understanding of general energy efficiency best practices and their relevance to the commercial real estate industry and pharmaceutical industry
  • The ideal individual will have experience with utility account management, energy and waste trend analysis and reporting, have excellent customer service and teamwork skills, and be able to enhance programmatic performance through process improvements, change management, and data-driven business decisions

What You Bring
  • A proven track record of successful Facilities Management leadership experience as demonstrated by articulated results and accomplishments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the following: Mechanical, Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, safety systems, building automation and control systems, greenhouse gas emissions, and energy management principles
  • Exceptional customer service, relationship building, and oral/written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) and 2+ years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience in Energy engineering
  • Experience with Microsoft Office or 365 required
  • Experience with planning and scheduling maintenance activities
  • Experience with CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) Maxmo preferred

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 5 years
