What you Will Do

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a highly skilled individual for the position of Sr. Project Engineer / Control Account Manager (CAM) to support Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) military programs. This role requires an individual with experience working effectively in managing functional, cross-disciplinary teams and with performing detailed budget and schedule analyses. The successful candidate can manage and organize multiple program issues, ensuring that the programs track and drive their financial and schedule objectives to closure.

Responsibilities
  • Develop & maintain project plans, schedules, resource requirements and budgets for assigned projects.
  • Track and present progress reports relating to the project(s) and ensure that established targets are met.
  • Partner with Program Management Office (PMO), Component Integrated Project Team Leads (CIPTs), and Integrated Project Team Lead(s) (IPTs) for scope planning, data preparation needs, monthly contract deliverables and/or milestone tracking, required product reviews, and contract proposals.
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities for projects to ensure all task risks and mitigation plans, including technical, financial and schedule, are communicated to all stakeholders and tracked to completion.
  • Support the IPT in the execution of deliverables and monthly earned value reporting of project status to identify and resolve obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules. This includes, but is not limited to, analyzing forecasting, providing Estimate At Completion (EAC) dispositions in WebEVM, variance explanations in Empower and taking performance Primavera.
  • Manage external resource requirements as applicable.
  • Ensure full compliance with standard work, IP, and export requirements.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 5 years of engineering experience or 3 years with an advanced degree
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Knowledge and Experience with Agile methodology and with Project Management toolsets (e.g. Smartsheet, SAP, Primavera, and/or MS Project).
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets and schedules.
  • Previous Control Account Manager (CAM) experience.
