We take the best elements of virtual teams and combine them with a support structure that encourages innovation, social interaction, and fun. We see no borders, move at a fast pace, and are never afraid to break the mold.

Job Summary:

Toptal is an innovative organization that is disrupting the global professional services and talent market. In response to our clientsโ€™ overwhelming demand for exceptional talent in new areas, we are expanding the breadth and depth of our Technology Services offerings to further fuel that growth. As a Practice Director for Toptalโ€™s Apps and Integrations practice, you will be in a high-impact position to set the vision, own the P&L, develop the Goโ€‘toโ€‘Market strategy, and drive the growth of your practice. Your leadership and expertise will play a pivotal role in achieving growth objectives, establishing a formidable market presence, and ensuring your practiceโ€™s profitability and longโ€‘term success.

Their insights will be essential to meeting the marketโ€™s changing needs both now and in the future.

This is a remote position. We do not offer visa sponsorship or assistance. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire. Resumes and communication must be submitted in English.

  • Strategy: Define target clients and buyers and identify the problems we help them solve.
  • Offering Development: Create attractive, scalable offerings that resonate with specific customer segments.
  • Goโ€‘toโ€‘Market: Lead from the front to establish productโ€‘market fit and work with the Practices Operations team to scale adoption and commercial impact.
  • Marketing: Develop thought leadership and campaigns that highlight our competitive differentiation, elevate our reputation, attract talent, and generate sales leads.
  • Sales: Understand demand, enable and educate the sales force, directly support client conversations, and articulate Toptalโ€™s pointโ€‘ofโ€‘view.
  • Business Management: Lead the practice from a sales, revenue, and profitability perspective by understanding key P&L levers and generating leads.
  • Delivery: Own both sales and delivery endโ€‘toโ€‘end, inspire highโ€‘performing teams, craft innovative frameworks, and deliver impactful results.
  • Talent: Ensure the talent network meets market demands and foster community among practice professionals.
Key Capabilities:
  • Lead collaboratively and thrive in a highโ€‘growth environment.
  • Articulate strategy with an agile execution plan.
  • Roll up sleeves to demonstrate traction and build a team.
  • Manage a P&L with a proven track record of profitability.
  • Make dataโ€‘informed decisions and define key metrics.
  • Walk in the shoes of customers to understand problems and solve them.
  • Lead and supervise team members within the Apps & Integrations practice.
  • Establish objectives, recommend structure, and oversee work.
  • Coach and mentor, provide feedback, and implement performance improvement plans.
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in the field, preferably 5+ years in a leadership role within Apps (Enterprise Apps, Custom Software Development) and Integration services.
  • 3+ years managing a business with P&L responsibility.
