Job description

SOLVERE is seeking an Avionics Systems Integration Engineer that will provide highly specialized systems engineering support governing the integration of new or modified avionics, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensors, navigation, and C4ISR communication systems onto USCG aircraft platforms
Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, and manage Interface Control Documents (ICDs) mapping the integration of Contractor/Government Furnished Equipment onto the aircraft.
  • Analyze proposed avionics system designs for critical impacts to aircraft electrical power budgets, thermal loading, transmission networks, and data bus architectures (e.g., MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, Ethernet).
  • Support the laboratory, ground, and flight testing of integrated avionics systems to verify functional performance and electromagnetic compatibility/interference (EMC/EMI).
  • Evaluate hardware and software design and development against published standards such as ARP4754A, DO-254, DO-178, etc.
  • Provide expert technical recommendations and root-cause analysis for resolving integration anomalies discovered during bench testing or flight operations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in technical field.
  • Two (2) yearsโ€™ experience in technical field.
  • One (1) year experience with planning and conducting tests.
