Job description

F-22 Avionics Technician - Mod Tech C

Company:

Boeing Aerospace Operations

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an F-22 Avionics Technician - Mod Tech C at Nellis AFB, NV.

In this role you will be responsible for performing maintenance repair and upgrades on F-22 systems and structures. You will utilize aircraft technical orders, publications, blueprints and drawings to perform a variety of maintenance actions on aircraft systems and sub systems including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and engines.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with disassembly of systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes.

  • Assists with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.

  • Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.

  • Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications.

  • Assists with performs tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations).

  • Works under supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of aircraft maintenance experience

  • 1+ years of experience with avionics installation

  • Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers.

  • Must be willing to work variable shifts

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience repairing, and servicing military fighter aircraft F-15, F-16, F-18, A-10, F-22, F-35

  • 3+ years of aircraft maintenance experience

  • 1+ year(s) of 5th generation aircraft maintenance experience

  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting aircraft avionics systems

  • Experience drilling, cutting, and fabricating aircraft structural components
