Admissions/Intake Nurse (RN)

Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking a Transportation/Patient Care Coordinator to provide transportation for patients to and from the facility for pre-scheduled appointments and help organize and direct patient's daily activities. Admissions/Intake Nurse (RN) Position Responsibilities include: Initial triage and medical screening. Assessments for inpatient and outpatient programs. Assess, direct and intervene in crisis situations. Nurse to nurse screenings for patients transferring to our facility. Obtain physician orders, intake calls and pre-certifications. Communicate patient needs to unit nurses, physicians and families.

Night Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Qualifications

Education: Graduate from a professional nursing program; BSN preferred. Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas. Certifications: Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.
