About the Role

INVIVA, a McKesson Canada company, is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Intake Coordinator to support the coordination of infusion and injection therapy services for patients across Canada. In this role, you will manage patient referrals, process medical documentation, coordinate with healthcare providers and internal teams, and help ensure an exceptional patient experience. You will play a critical role in maintaining service levels, supporting patient care programs, and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of patient information.

What You'll Do
  • Process and manage new patient referrals, enrollments, renewals, and intake requests within established service standards.
  • Review, verify, and maintain accurate patient records and documentation within scheduling and patient management systems.
  • Coordinate referral information with internal teams, healthcare providers, pharmacies, and patient support programs.
  • Process physician order updates, treatment changes, and other patient care documentation.
  • Track and update appointment outcomes, post-visit reports, and adverse event documentation.
  • Follow up on missing or incomplete patient information and escalate outstanding issues when required.
  • Support patient scheduling activities and appointment coordination as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), privacy requirements, and quality standards.
  • Assist with administrative activities, process improvements, and cross-functional team support.
  • Participate in meetings and represent the Intake team as a subject matter expert when required.
Basic Requirements
  • High school diploma plus relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service, patient service, healthcare administration, coordination, or related experience.
  • Experience managing high-volume requests, administrative tasks, or client interactions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately manage documentation and records.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Post-secondary education in healthcare administration, business administration, customer service, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting patient support programs, specialty healthcare, infusion services, or healthcare coordination.
  • Experience working with referrals, patient intake processes, or medical scheduling.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology or healthcare documentation practices.
  • Experience using Salesforce, CRM systems, or patient management systems.
  • Experience working with healthcare professionals, pharmacies, or patient assistance programs.
