Job description

Position Summary
The Actuarial Analyst is responsible for supporting the actuarial evaluation and monitoring of the Company's insurance portfolio by analyzing technical performance, reserves, pricing, profitability, and reinsurance results. This role applies actuarial, statistical, and financial principles to support business decisions, product development, and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Calculate and analyze actuarial reserves across multiple insurance products.
  • Monitor loss experience, profitability, and key performance indicators for assigned business lines.
  • Support product development, pricing reviews, and actuarial technical documentation.
  • Perform reinsurance calculations and analyze treaty performance.
  • Assist with profitability projections, financial audits, and statutory reserve certifications.
  • Provide actuarial analysis and data-driven support to cross-functional departments.
  • Participate in special projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of actuarial experience within the insurance industry (Life, Disability, Annuities, Property & Casualty), or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and SOA/CAS exam progress.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience handling insurance portfolio data and actuarial modeling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; experience with RiskAgility FM, ResQ, R, or comparable actuarial software preferred.
  • Progress toward SOA or CAS professional credentials (completion of actuarial exams preferred).
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
  • Fully bilingual (English and Spanish), with strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
