Job description

This full time position will travel between the HCA Surgery Centers from Ogden - Salt Lake City to provide front desk coverage as needed. When not traveling to a center, this position will work from home assisting the Central Business Office with insurance verification and billing work. Mileage will be reimbursed.

Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a Business Office Specialist - float whocontributes to the company's mission, vision, and values by handling various business office functions.You willbe responsible forbilling, cash posting, chart preparation, cash posting, collections, insurance verification, medical records, patientregistrationand scheduling.
What you will do:
  • You will rotate to other ambulatory surgery center facilities - mileage will be reimbursed
  • You will handle various business office duties toinclude:billing, chart preparation, cash posting, collections, insurance verification, medicalrecords, patientregistrationandscheduling
  • Beresponsible foraccurately performing all functions ofyourpatient admissions
  • Performand documentinsurance pre-certification,verificationand interviewsfor yourpatients prior to surgery
  • You willidentifycoding or billing problems from EOBs and works to correcterrorsin a timely manner
  • You will prepare accounts for rebilling
  • You will filesecondary insurance and sendtothe designatedcarrier withproper documentation
  • Scheduleyourpatient surgical procedures andmaintainthe surgery schedule
Qualificationsyou will need:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably an ambulatory setting
