Position: Telesales Representative

Position Overview:
This commission-based sales position is focused on selling Mediacom services to residential customers on a variety of different types of inbound and outbound phone calls.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Make follow up calls to close sales leads generated from a variety of sources.
  • Make follow up calls to reschedule customers with cancelled or missed installations.
  • Make outbound calls to existing customers or customers pending installation in effort to up-sell the customer's package
  • Record the statuses of each call, including updating spreadsheets or websites when necessary, depending on the type of call.
  • Sell Mediacom services on a variety of other types of inbound and outbound calls
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong verbal communication skills required.
  • Self-motivated and works independently with minimal supervision required.
  • Ability to learn and utilize multiple computer applications simultaneously required.
  • Ability to stay on-task with minimal supervision required.
  • Able and willing to follow a given call flow.
  • Adaptable to always-changing products, offers, policies, software, and work methods.
  • Consistently able to work a 5-day work schedule without unplanned absences.
  • Regular Attendance required.
